Curtin Business School
June 13th, 2017
Year 10 HASS classes were lucky enough to get an introduction into what it is like to study Business and Commerce at Curtin University. The classes participated in activities all over the campus: cookie mining, visiting the trade room and a cross-campus team race. We learnt about the relationship between expenditure and revenue in a business, as well as decision making and how important it is for a successful business to make smart choices.
The cross-campus team race was the most memorable part of the excursion. We were split into teams and given a student ambassador (University Student) to guide us through a set of challenges around the campus. We had to get photos with specific objects whilst completing the challenges as quickly as possible.
The students were also lucky enough to watch a presentation from Class of 2016 Lesmurdie graduate, Danielle Leotta, who gave us some insight into the life of a university student.
