Year 7 Study Retreat and Parent information session

Just a reminder that the payment and consent forms for the Year 7 Study Retreat and Parent information session are due by the end of the day (3pm) tomorrow. We are excited to see as may students as possible in attendance, we are also looking forward to greeting as many parents as possible at the information session.
The purpose of this retreat is to encourage a cohesive and supportive mindset within the Year 7 cohort and promote the Lesmurdie SHS values. Students will participate in activities that will support development of their study skills, social skills, independence, teambuilding, decision making and leadership. The tasks involved over the course of the retreat will be of a practical nature and will be a positive personal experience to all those concerned.
We would also like to invite parents of year 7 students to an information session with Dr Jane Genovese. Jane is the author of the Study Hacks book that all students at Lesmurdie SHS use as part of the study program delivered at school. The program, designed by Jane and delivered in school, explores the areas of creative study strategies, memory techniques, overcoming procrastination, exam preparation, managing stress, resilience, and how to focus in the age of distraction.
