Financial Assistance

Secondary Assistance Scheme (SAS) Years 7 – 12

Parent/Carers who are the holder of an eligible Centrelink Healthcare, Pensioner Concession or Veterans’ Affairs Pensioner Card, are entitled to a $235 Education Allowance (paid to the school) and $115 Clothing Allowance (can be paid to parent or school).

The SAS Application forms are available from the Administration Office (students are welcome to collect these for you) or click on the link below. The fully completed, signed and unaltered application form along with both sides of the appropriate concession card can be emailed to Lesmurdie.SHS@education.wa.edu.au or handed into the Administration Office.

We encourage applications to be made as soon as possible. They must be returned by the last school day of Term 1.

WA Student Assistance Payment

The new WA Student Assistance Payment will provide parents and carers with a $250
payment for each secondary student, and $150 for each primary school student or
kindergartener.

You will need a valid WA Student Number (WASN) to be eligible for the payment.

Important information on where to find your child’s WASN can be found here.

The payments will be available through the ServiceWA app from the start of Term 2 (April
15), and we encourage you to use the coming weeks to set up your ServiceWA account
and digital identity. Further information is available at wa.gov.au/servicewaapp.
